BioscienceLA was formed with a singular mission, to grow the life sciences innovation ecosystem in the region – among other areas, funding, space, and talent. LA County has invested heavily in this mission. Our Founding Sponsors and other partners have invested heavily in this mission. We are emerging from a pandemic with new innovations and aspirations for the future, which are building on those investments. And BioscienceLA is directly supporting investments into LA’s innovation capacity, with programs like BioFutures and Leadership Catalyst Program, among others.

H.R. 3 (Lower Drug Costs Now Act) is an International reference price measure introduced by the House of Representatives. BioscienceLA stands by its peer organizations in opposing H.R. 3. At a time when all of us are dedicated to funding innovation to save and improve lives, H.R. 3 is a significant obstacle that could undo much of the work that we’ve accomplished together over the recent years.
