Forging and Accessing Pathways to Bioscience Careers in LA County

Talent Development

We are committed to building a diverse, skilled workforce that reflects the vibrant communities of Los Angeles County.

Our Talent Development initiatives connect students, career-changers, and aspiring professionals with the educational pathways and career opportunities that make the bioscience sector accessible to all.

  • BioscienceLA Sparks is a middle and high school career exploration and workforce development program. The program includes three components: bilingual career awareness events, hands-on lab experiences, and guided local industry site visits.

  • Career Technical Education (CTE) bioscience programs provide high school students with industry-aligned lab skills, certifications, and work-based learning experiences in the biosciences. Programs can connect directly to community college pathways through dual enrollment, allowing students to earn college credits and advance seamlessly into associate degrees and bioscience jobs.
