Loren Martin

Vice Provost of Research Innovation & Partnership at KGI

Dr. Loren Martin, Vice Provost of Research, Innovation, & Partnerships, brings expertise in neurobiology, behavioral health, and life science entrepreneurship to his work at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI). He earned a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed postdoctoral training at the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute. At KGI, he oversees the industry-focused PhD program in Applied Life Sciences and industry advisory boards in bioscience, biomanufacturing, and healthcare. His team works to identify sponsored research and corporate project opportunities that support student development while connecting KGI’s capabilities with industry needs. Dr. Martin is also helping develop a new Claremont Colleges Life Science Venture Catalyst at KGI, an initiative designed to advance promising discoveries and support emerging life science ventures through mentorship, resources, and connections across Southern California’s bioscience ecosystem.
